Sound Waves is seeking to appoint new Trustees to help our ambitious small charity make thoughtful choices about its future while retaining the qualities that make it distinctive.
We are keen to hear from anyone who is interested in the work of Sound Waves but are also particularly keen to strengthen the Board’s experience in areas such as finance and governance, risk, education, digital, data, people and organisational development.
We know there are lots of ways that someone can gain experience and insight, not just through professional experience. There is no requirement for new trustees to have previous board experience, and we welcome applications from those with an interest in our work.
The Trustees aim to meet at least three times a year, either in person or online at times that suit all individuals, and meetings usually last around two hours.
If you feel you have experience, perspectives, talent and time to share, to help develop this important charity and its work, we look forward to hearing from you.
To apply, please send a current CV and a covering letter detailing your interest in the role (no more than two sides of A4) to chair@soundwavesscio.org.uk
Informal interviews will be held either in-person or online from the week beginning Monday 26 October 2026, with current Trustees.
Any access requirements for both in person and online interviews will be met.
Full details of the role, the organisation and the skills and experience we are seeking can be found in the Job Pack below. If you are interested and have any questions before applying, please contact the Board Chair, Jamie Munn at chair@soundwavesscio.org.uk who will be happy to have a chat.
